OVERFLOW.STREET

When the Apostle Peter was seeking to describe what it means to be a Christian, he gave us insight into God's motive for saving a people for His own possession. In 1 Peter 2:9, Peter tells us that God has redeemed Christians "so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light." We serve a magnificently gracious God who has forgiven our sins and has satisfied our souls. And because we love Him, we desire to "proclaim His excellencies" to all who will listen.

Overflow.Street instructs and equips members in the obedient and joyful pursuit of that Great Commission (cf. Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8) by taking the Gospel to our community.

OVERFLOW.LIFE

Overflow.Life seeks to preserve life and provide care through various means. Because all humans are made in God’s image and are fearfully and wonderfully made (Gen. 1:27; Ps. 139:14), we seek to advocate for life at every opportunity and encourage God's people to defend and speak up for those who can not speak or defend themselves – namely babies who are being led to death by abortion (Prov. 31:8).

We also seek to provide for the physical and spiritual needs of moms and dads who are considering abortion or may already have had one.

OVERFLOW.NEIGHBOR

Christians have a clear mandate to bring good news to the poor, bind up the brokenhearted, and comfort all who mourn. In Christ, according to Isaiah 61, Luke 4, John 13, and many other texts, we are vessels through whom the Holy Spirit brings life. All work of the church of the Lord Jesus Christ is a spiritual work, even—perhaps especially—the very physical work of disaster response, serving the community, and caring for the poor and displaced.

OVERFLOW.DISCIPLE

Our desire is to be used of God to proclaim His gospel and to minister to those around us. We offer several courses throughout the year that prepare us to joyfully and effectively obey the Lord in these tasks.
